Celebrity Fashion Sightings: Week of July 12, 2021

As things open up globally, and most of the severe COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted in most countries, celebrities are being seen out and about at red carpets, movie premieres. and just looking glamorous at outdoor venues.  Fashion Reverie never disappoints in bringing our viewers all the great fashion and not so great fashion of your favorite celebs. Sightings can still be slightly parse, but as the summer continues to heat up, so are there more celeb sightings.

“High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ Olivia Rodrigo looked very chic and well put together Chanel skirt suit with platform Giuseppe Zanotti for her visit to the White House. Hmm, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez there is another Latina in the house!!

Lily Cole is known for her quirky style. This penchant really played as Cole attended a dinner in celebration of Elephant Family’s CoExistence campaign hosted by Prince Charles and his wife Camila in Simone Rocha summer frock and a pair of jeweled crocs.

Zendaya never disappoints. Once again, the diva turns it out a in colorful Moschino two-piece with Bulgari jewels for the “Space Jam: A New Legacy” premiere in Los Angeles. Show those luscious legs off, girl!!

“Charlie’s Angels” Ella Balinska knows how to mix it up. She proves her styling abilities by wearing a Michael Kors Collection red pantsuit to the Cartier Style et Luxe event during Goodwood Festival. She this look with blood red sneaks and a black lace negligee top. That’s right, style extraordinaire.

Though Fashion Reverie reported on the red-carpet fashion from Cannes last week, we had to include this additional fabulous look from Cannes 2021. Jodie Turner-Smith wore a custom Gucci strapless gown with a black vinyl, crystal embroidered corseted bustier and cream organza skirt with yellow crystal embroidery and canary yellow ostrich feathers with black leather platform high heel knot sandals. She completed her look with a Gucci High Jewelry yellow gold necklace with yellow beryls and diamonds, yellow gold bracelet with yellow beryls and diamonds, yellow gold earrings with yellow beryls and diamonds and a white gold heart shaped tanzanite and diamond ring.

Bringing up the rear this week is reality television star Teyana Taylor in a very sheet dress at the 2021 Maxim Hot 100 event—sheer is an understatement. Teyana was named Maxim’s Sexiest Woman Alive.

2021 Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet

Red Carpets we missed you! And there is no great way to get back to glamour then with the 74th Annual Cannes Film Festival. Kicking off glamour in full swing, well, almost.

Stars have officially returned to the Cannes red carpet for the opening ceremony on July 6th and the debut film screening of Leos Carax’s “Annette.” We witnessed an array of stunning looks and there is hopefully so much more to come since the festival goes on until July 17th, 2021.

Image courtesy of Mike Marsland/Getty Images

Bella Hadid

Bella is all about the vintage glam in a white vintage Jean-Paul Gaultier gown with a black sheer veil as a train. If that was not breathtaking enough, she accessorized with pear-shaped diamond earrings, a marquise-cut diamond ring, and heart-shaped ruby ring which are from Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie collection. Perfection!

Helen Mirren

Helen Mirren truly brought joy and happiness in a bright, yellow long-sleeve dress by Dolce & Gabbana perfectly fitted to her curves with a gorgeous, dramatic necklace! This is one of the favorite looks of 2021!

Image courtesy of Jacopo Raule/Getty Images

Nataly Osmann

Not just anyone can pull off this shade of green along with cut outs. Nataly looked chic in a Belik post-couture strapless, fitted, slit dress.

Image courtesy of Jacopo Raule/Getty Images

Paola Locatelli

Model and youtuber Paola just looks happy to be in Cannes. Locatelli is making up for the canceled Cannes Film Festival of 2020 in a short-length, silver-black Miu Miu dress and a matching black purse.

Isabelle Huppert

Unlike Paola, Isabelle could be like a lot of us, just not quite ready to get out there on the red carpet. In all-black Balenciaga long sleeves and turtle-neck gown with dark black shades, this look would intimidate the red-carpet media looking for an interview opportunity. Fashion Reverie is looking forward to seeing if she will appear more approachable by the end of the Cannes Film festival.  By being adorned in silver jewelry, Isabelle Huppert gives Fashion Reverie some hope of better fashion choices.

Image courtesy of Mark Piasecki/Getty Images

Iris Berben

If owning the red carpet was possible, Iris would own the Cannes’ red carpet. Berben wore a beautiful Oscar de la Renta kaftan like, off-the-shoulder gown. Simply gorgeous!

Image courtesy of Daniele Venturelli/Getty Images

Elena Lenina

Elena is bringing back camp. In an all silver gown and a golden shimmery headpiece, she made sure people noticed her look. This look is an acquired taste, and it seems a little bit of an uncomfortable fabric for July. However, there are fans who loved Lenina’s look and probably think she is the best dressed at Cannes so far. This extravagant look is her style, after all. Keep having fun with fashion!!

Candice Swanepoel

Jumpsuits are always risqué at a big and important red carpet like the Cannes Film Festival. However, the former Victoria’s Secret model did it right in an embellished nude 70’s style Etro jumpsuit.

2021 Olympians with Great Style

The 2021 Olympics are a few weeks away. The world will witness the biggest world event since the COVID-19 shutdown. Of course, there is drama and a lot of media during and after the Olympics, so Fashion Reverie has curated a list of Olympic style stars from the upcoming Olympics.

With new sports added to the Tokyo Olympics, this the start of what should be a groundbreaking Olympic Games for women athletes. Meet a few of the women athletes who have great style that Fashion Reverie is excited to watch in the Tokyo Olympics!!

Dalilah Muhammad, Track and Field (USA)

She broke the 400-meter hurdles world record twice: once at the 2019 USA Track and Field (USATF) National Championships and then later that same year at the World Championships. Going to Tokyo as the defending Olympic champion Dalilah will probably bring some cute outfits. According to her Instagram, she seems to keep it simple but experiments with fun accessories.

Leticia Bufoni, Skateboarding (Brazil)

Leticia is getting attention as a favorite skateboarder and holds a record five X Games gold medals in street skateboarding, ranking fourth in the world. This sport requires a certain style and she keeps it sporty and street-style hip, proudly showing off her arm tattoos.

Kate Courtney, Cross-country Mountain Biking (USA)

In 2019, Kate Courtney became the first American in 17 years to win the overall World Cup in cross-country mountain biking. Biking outfits can be stylish, and some folks wear biking outfits even if they hardly know how to ride a bike. Kate keeps her gear on most of the time, but occasionally shows up at a black-tie event. She usually wears simple, but young and flirty dresses, like the dresses she wore at New York City events a few years ago.

Jordan Chiles, Gymnastics (USA)

Jordan has already gone viral for some of her incredible floor routines to music from “Wonder Woman” and “Spider Man,” so naturally we can’t wait to see how she does in Tokyo. Gymnastic uniforms are beautiful on their own, but Jordan loves wearing stylish clothes and bright colors even when not competing.

Sydney McLaughlin, Track and Field (USA)

At the 2019 World Championships, she finished second with a personal best time, the third fastest in history, directly completing with Dalilah Muhammad. McLaughlin will be at the Tokyo Olympics, so we might see another close call between these two. Getting a cover of L’Officiel is not not easy and Fashion Reverie chose to share McLaughlin a long black dress from the photoshoot. Thank you L’Officiel for giving us this pleasure.

Naomi Osaka, Tennis (Japan)

Naomi Osaka renounced her American citizenship in 2019 which allows her to compete for Japan in the 2021Olympics. She was a dual US-Japanese citizen and under Japan’s Nationality Law she had to choose one before she turned 22. It’ll be her first Olympic Games, and she’ll be playing in her home country. She could be the first Japanese woman to take home an Olympic medal in tennis. She has been collaborating with quite a few important brands, but our favorite is her ambassadorship with Louis Vuitton. Bold color and print mini dress fit Naomi Osaka perfectly simply perfect.

Dafne Schippers, Track and Field (The Netherlands)

As the fourth fastest woman in the world in the 200-meter dash, this Dutch 2016 Olympic silver medalist also knows how to heat up a red carpet. Schippers is also the 2015 and 2017 world champion in the 200 meters.

At 5` 10, Schippers looks absolutely gorgeous in a bedazzled red-carpet gown. She was also the 2020 ambassador for Toyota.

Vashti Cunningham, Track and Field (USA)

If you are not familiar with this Amazonian beauty—Vashti towers at 6`1—then you may know her famous father Randall Cunningham, former quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Vashti’s mother, Felicity de Jager, former ballerina for the Dance Theatre of Harlem. As the Queen of the High Jump, Vashti has the athletic power and beauty to sail over all of her competitors in the high jump at the Tokyo Olympics. (She probably gets that great leaping ability from her ballerina mom who was famous for her jetes as Myrtha, the Queen of the Wilis in “Giselle.”)

Vashti is no stranger to fashion. “There are a lot of designers that get me excited,” Vashti gushed. “Junya Watanabe, Rick Ownes, Virgil Abloh, Yoon Ambush.” … “The designer of the shag sweater-coat, Jean-Paul Gaultier, is known for pushing the boundaries of what is and isn’t fashion.”

Simone Biles, Gymnastics (USA)

This list would not be complete without the greatest of all times (GOAT) gymnastic Simone Biles. Biles currently holds the record for most World Championship and Olympic medals combined (30 medals) and the most consecutive US Gymnastics Championships (7).

The current women’s all-around of Olympic gymnastic champion from the 2016 Rio Olympics, Biles is a sure bet to win the all-around at the Tokyo Olympics. Biles is expected to accumulate no less than four gold medals in Tokyo.

Biles loves fashion as well, proven by her June 2021 cover story in Glamour. Photographed by Kennedi Carter, Biles donned a David Koma with a Schiaparelli necklace. All this was done in patriotic red, white, and blue.

Celebrity Fashion Sightings: Week of June 28, 2021

Fashion Reverie’s Celebrity Fashion Sightings is back!! Now that a lot of the COVID-19 restrictions have been relaxed and celebrity red carpets are on their way back, there are some serious red-carpet fashion to report.

Nothing provides more red-carpet fabulousness than an award’s ceremony. Fashion Reverie starts our celebrity fashion sighting return with the 2021 BET Awards. Celebrities usually let it all hang out at the BET Awards and 2021 was not and exception, even if some of the red-carpet fashion bordered on a bit too much exposure!!

Perhaps, the best look of the BET red carpet was Ciara. Ciara was beautifully attired in crystal-embroidered catsuit from Alexander Vauthier’s spring 2021 Couture collection. She paired this catsuit with matching crystal-embroidered knee-high boots. Ciara always stays fit, so she has the bod to pull off this look.

Taraji Henson hosted the 2021 BET Awards and her red-carpet look fit right into the over-the-top looks on this red carpet. Henson donned a hot pink, black and yellow, high-slit Atelier Versace gown from the Haute Couture summer 2020 collection. This was a whole lot of gown with, perhaps, too many ideas. Better luck next time Taraji!!

Photo by Paras Griffin/Getty Images for BET

Lil Nas X is always a marvel on the red carpet. And Lil Nas X really gave us something to make our eyes pop on the 2021 BET red carpet. Lil Nas X was marvelously dressed in a voluminous blue toile dress by emerging designer Andrea Grossi.

Zendaya’s gown was a tribute to Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love’ dress worn to the 2003 BET Awards. The Versace spring 2003 gown looked great on Beyonce in 2003 and looks equally good on Zendaya in 2021. Zendaya is beautifully accessorized in Stuart Weitzman stilettos, as well as yellow Bvlgari diamonds.

Fashion Reverie could not do a red-carpet 2021 BET Awards roundup without including Queen Latifah. Accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award, Queen Latifah looked beautiful in a Christian Siriano ensemble. Queen Latifah proved you can look fabulous at 50 plus!!

Moving on from the 2021 BET Awards, can you believe this is Lady Gaga? Gaga has come a long way from her scene-stealing, red-carpet moments from the early part of this century. Gaga is somewhat subdued, by her standards, in this custom Christian Siriano and a Mark Cross bag in New York City. The statement sleeves are still ala Gaga, but that is about it!!

One of the big red carpets of the week  was the premiere of Marvel’s “Black Widow” in the UK. Florence Pugh was sexily attired in a black Miu Miu ensemble. Though the look was sexy, the look didn’t quite make the grade. Good try, though.

And bringing up the fear this week, Gillian Jacobs looked futuristic and fashion-forward in a PH5 fall 2021 dress at the Netflix’s virtual presentation of “Fear Street.”

Fashion Reverie’s 2021 Music Celebrity Summer Getaway Roundup

Just like that we are back to planning trips and checking off bucket list destinations. After being on lockdown or restricted for over a year, maybe we can appreciate fancy vacations more? Are you excited about grabbing your passports, and going on that exotic vacation? If so, Fashion Reverie has come up with seven destinations inspired by our favorite music celebrities.

Saint Tropez, France

Saint Tropez is well known for its amazing beaches. Beyoncé and Jay Z, as well as former Spice girl Victoria Beckham and her hubby, have been spotted on these famous beaches. The Cote d’Azur is the place to be seen and it is great for socializing and some celebrity spotting as well.

Los Cabos, Mexico

For celebrities in the US, Los Cabos, Mexico is so accessible. That being the case, a lot of celebs opt for Los Cabos as a quick getaway. It is a great place to indulge in some pampering with the plethora of hotels with very good spas and private beaches. Pop artist Christina Aguilera has been spotted at Los Cabos soaking up the sun and surf.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Ah, don’t we all want to go? One of the most popular celebrity hangouts in the world is Rio de Janeiro’s Ipanema Beach. Of course, if you go in time for the carnival it is a whole extra, lots of fun. Madonna seems to love visiting Brazil for its music, food and range of dance styles.

St. Barts

Only eight square miles across, this Caribbean island is one of the hottest celebrity destinations in the world. It is a great place for shopping, yachting, and glamorous nightlife, and white sandy beaches. Celebs who have vacationed here include Gwen Stefani and Usher.

Aspen, Colorado

If you want to stay on the mainland, Aspen is a great pick. Some celeb picks do not include beaches and seaside resorts as their go-to vacation spots, they would rather vacation in a different environment. Aspen is super popular during the winter as one of the hottest skiing and snowboarding spots in the world; however, a weekend getaway during the summer works, too. Mariah Carey and lots of famous people own homes in Aspen. There are also plenty of spas, boutiques, and fine dining restaurants.

Maui, Hawaii

For many music celebs Maui is a dream vacation. The flora and fauna of Maui with its paradise-like scenery appeals to many music stars. The legendary Elvis Presley was a big fan of Maui and Selena Gomez has been seen here plenty of times. Sipping cocktails in beautiful Maui sounds like where we’d like to spend the rest of the summer.

Mykonos, Greece

Has always been one of those hot spot destinations where celebrities are seen. It is known for a big nightlife scene but also delicious Mediterranean cuisine and beautiful views. Even though Lindsey Lohan is an actress we all remember her Mykonos party scenes from her “Beach Club” reality show and her dance that went viral. Lindsay is inspiring our unique destinations to this island.

Bon Voyage, and if you see some music celebrities at these summer resorts, let Fashion Reverie know.

Fashion Reverie’s 2021 Billboard Music Award Red-Carpet Picks

We usually expect very interesting and beautiful red-carpet looks at the Grammy’s; however, the Billboard Music Awards might just give the Grammy’s a run for its money after the exciting looks witnessed at the 2021 Billboards. The 2021 Billboard Music Awards’ performances and guest list was excellent and when it comes to fashion there were many amazing and buzz-worthy looks. With Nick Jonas hosting, Drake receiving the Artist of the Decade Award and the likes of BTS, The Weekend, Pink, and Alicia Keys, this Billboard Music Awards was also a family affair with lots of celebrities accompanied their little ones.

Here are Fashion Reverie’s favorite nine looks:

Presenter Priyanka Chopra turned heads in Dolce & Gabbana high-slit, shiny, gold, transparent dress. She looked like a golden statue. This look was one of the most talked about looks of the evening.

Performers Jonas Brothers were also a trio (one of them part of a duo) and were also talked about because of how great they looked. Nick in Fendi, Joe in Prada and Kevin in Amiri put a whole lot of thought into their looks of the evening. Our favorite is Kevin in his indigo jacket, our least favorite is Robin Hood who tried a little too hard. You know who we are talking about?

Alicia Keys in Valentino was the winner look of the evening in Fashion Reverie’s opinion. Alicia went extravagant and a little over the top, which is not the we usually see from Alicia. This is pure glamour with an edge. We hope Alicia keeps this fashion streak going, we are there for it.

Though Pink’s pink Alexander McQueen gown made her look a bit matronly, congrats goes out to her for achieving the 2021 Billboard Music Icon Award. And she is wearing Alexander McQueen, so Fashion Reverie gives her a pass.

H.E.R., nominated for Top R&B Song, wore a Dior jumpsuit. This time around, H.E.R’s look was  disappointing, or this look just doesn’t photograph very well. Given it is Dior, it must have been done carefully with attention to detail; however, the finished look just did not translate on the red carpet.

DaBaby, in Gucci makes us wonder what has been going on with the Gucci brand (yet, again). Did DaBaby try to make this Gucci look make sense by highlighting the 70s leisure suit vibe with a pink turtlenck? Or is it the brand’s fault?

Image courtesy of Rich Fury/Getty Images for dcp)

Doja Cat in Balmain is a look that is hard to describe because you must look at the look inch by inch and then repeat your inspection a few times. What did Fashion Reverie notice? Hmm, nice bell pants and a very small top with statement sleeves connected to jewelry, still not your usual sexy Balmain.

Image courtesy of Todd Williamson/Getty Images

Kelsea Ballerini In Nedret Taciroglu brought a little bit of stardust with her stars and moon embellished, one-sleeve, fitted black mini dress. Everything looks in its place and she looks comfortable. One of the few of the evening who got it right!!

Image courtesy of Todd Williamson/Getty Images

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly do not disappoint in a little black Mugler dress and an edgy Balmain suit. However, no amount of cut outs on that tight black dress could upstage or draw attention from Machine Gun Kelly’s black tongue! We still don’t know how this look (for the tongue) was achieved.

2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards Red Carpet

The MTV Movie and TV Awards are officially completed. Night one was hosted by Leslie Jones while the unscripted ceremony was hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser. One the important moments of the show was “WandaVision” winning a few Golden Popcorns and the Best Show award.

During the ceremony for the unscripted television night, the cast of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” received the Best Docu-Reality Show award, as well as the inaugural Reality Royalty lifetime achievement award. Snooki thanked MTV for acknowledging the cast’s “hot mess bs” throughout the years. Fashion was interesting to say the least, so, here are some of the looks Fashion Reverie wanted to highlight.

 Riley Keough

Was this a memorable look? Absolutely, however, very far from the best dressed look of the evening. This sequined mistake, an emerald green cropped jacket, a purple cropped tank top and striped pink and green pants were a crime committed by Gucci. Her hair was done well, despite the outfit.

Madison Bailey

Madison arrived in a Versace look straight from the runway; however, it looks like a costume for a theme party. It didn’t translate that well on the red carpet, despite looking great at the Versace runway show. There were conflicting multi-colored patterns and micro top half. Still, the pink sandals were cute!

Jurnee Smollett

Jurnee Smollett’s teal Alexandre Vauthier jumpsuit with cut-outs on both sides of the waist was a bingo and one of the best looks of the two-days award ceremony. Fashion Reverie loved the matching lace boots.

Nikki Bella and Brie Bella

The Bella twins were twinning and wore identical dresses by Maria Lucia Hohan, but in different colors. Nikki opted for a bronze and black design with a black corset bodice and semi-sheer skirt. Brie went with a black corset bodice and hot pink skirt.

Erika Jayne

Despite all the negative press around Erika Jayne while we are waiting to see what happens in the latest season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Erika Jayne’s MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted look drew attention, as usual.  The latex blue minidress paired with a floor-length coat by Venus Prototype with blue heels in a different shade is one of the best looks of the evening. You go, girl!!

Becky Robinson

Did Becky Robinson grab your attention? Yes, she did. For best dressed, ugh no. Jacket by Robinson’s choice of Gucci paired with fringed Amazon Fashion boots created another mess of a look. Did Becky get a memo to show up in weirdest looks possible?

Mandy Moore

This bright yellow dress by Altuzarra is a very nice look for Mandy Moore. The bold yellow is an ideal way go to celebrate at this type of awards show. Mandy Moore look flawless in this garment, signifying that she is ready for spring.

Leslie Jones

Leslie Jones is no stranger to the challenges and troubles picking out the right outfit. Something a lot of us can relate to. However, with this Bishme Cromartie rose-colored gown, Leslie Jones looks good and oh so happy!! She could have used some spanks, maybe.

2021 Young Celebrities with Bold Style

Sometimes we look back at some of our favorite Hollywood stars fashion choices and think they have come a long way. Not everyone is born with incredible taste and style; this combination takes time to develop. Still, some celebs are simply born with it and Fashion Reverie decided to share its favorite young celebrities with an incredible sense of bold style. You might be able to learn a thing or two and apply some of these looks to your wardrobe.

Camila Cabello‘s style is young, fun but also on-the-edge. After launching a solo music career her style followed its own course. She plays with colors, shapes and everything just seems to fit perfectly.

Paris Jackson is known for her edgy vibes. Michael Jackson’s daughter has many tattoos and goes for boho-chic looks. Her fashion is sourced from all sorts of trends and is occasionally inspired by her super icon dad, the prince of pop. Paris has made quite a few best dressed lists and we are looking forward to seeing her next best look.

Supermodel Gigi Hadid is a mommy now and has evolved her personal style to a little more casual. But, haven’t we all during this pandemic. Gigi Hadid is what Fashion Reverie call effortlessly chic evidenced in her street style or runway moments. She does however give consumers a little bit of a tomboy style on occasion. When you have a figure like this supermodel, everything she tries to look tomboyish, the vibe is still sexy.

No one can doubt that Zendaya has great style. Zendaya has evolved from Disney kid to starring in the HBO hit “Euphoria.” But that is not the only evolution, Zendaya’s personal and red-carpet style has evolved over the years.

Though Zendaya is only 24, her bold style is that of a seasoned red-carpet regular. In 2018, Pret-a-porter named her one of the best-dressed women. And with her stylist Law Roach, in 2020 Zendaya chose to use all black designers for her InStyle September cover.

Madison Pettis is an actress who is finally getting our attention with her flirtatious Instagram posts and looks that are styled very well.  We all long for traditional glamour and that may has disappeared for the most part due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Madison brings it all back and it does give us a sense of nostalgia.

Kylie Jenner, the youngest Kardashian, kind of took a style and fashion from each of her siblings. And being a billionaire also helps.

Kylie is still experimenting with her style, but Kylie does have a signature look she maintains. Kylie’s minimalist is almost always figure-hugging to amplify her curves.  Matching sets or sneakers on occasion makes her unique style easily recognizable.

Image courtesy of South China Morning Post

Ariana Grande is the latest celeb bride which might change her style a little bit. Fashion Reverie got a hint of Grande’s evolving style from her Vera Wang very simple wedding dress. So far, she was going for a fun, high ponytail skateboard girl with oversized sweatshirts and thigh high boots but the latest vibes we are getting are old Hollywood. Perhaps she will go for one style on stage and now a little more sophisticated look when with her hubby? Either way, Grande IS becoming grande style icon.

Fashion Reverie’s Spring 2021 Roundup of Young Celebs with Style

Images courtesy of marieclaire.com

It appears that 2021 might be a dressing-up year after all. Lots of people are vaccinated and are slowly ready to safely mingle. We all might need a little inspiration or a tip on what clothing items to pick and refresh our wardrobes. Fashion Reverie has picked six young stylish celebrities to enhance your spring 2021 style.

Images courtesy of Rex Features

Zendaya

Fashion Reverie has witnessed Zendaya blossom into a master of fashion. She enjoys and plays with different styles, shapes, and fabrics. After all that, is what fashion is all about, fun! I believe, we are watching a style icon in the making.

Ariana Grande

We are obsessed with her style on stage and off stage. She has a signature, youthful style. Ariana wears pieces she can easily make a dance move in and she knows how to take center stage on and off the red carpet. Ariana maintains her signature ponytail and wears pieces that can be easily improvised by her fans, unless, it’s a Cinderella dress.

Kendall Jenner

Well, Kendall is an example of that supermodel style. Impeccable on the runway, when relaxing Kendall goes casual, and incorporates a more athleisure style when seen on the streets of metropolitan cities or in her family’s reality tv show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

Image courtesy of Tom + Lorenzo

Lily Collins

Is that “Emily in Paris” wearing Chanel? Hmm, I think it is the other way round. Lily stays out of drama, any social media scandals, but leaves an impression when it comes to her style. Style seems to come naturally to her. Her image is always very sophisticated. It is not that Lily plays it safe, it just that she seems to know exactly what she likes and gives a perfect sense of confidence.

Billie Eilish

Billie also has a unique style. Oversized suits, monochromatic looks, heavy on matching accessories and always special edition “nails did.” Though Billie might come across as introverted, when on stage we all get so mesmerized with the full picture, which includes her eye-catching style and incredible vocal ability. While Billie is only 19 with the announcement her new album “Happier Than Ever,” Billie looks completely different. Did her style change? We will soon find out.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa is simply so good looking. Fashion Reverie thinks of her as a fashion chameleon since you never know what to expect from her. She changes styles, colors, hairstyles, goes from tight to oversized, while always managing to turn heads. That said, with her chameleon abilities, it makes sense she comes from the fashion industry. For those who were not aware, Duo Lipa started her career as a model.

2021 Academy Awards’ Red-Carpet Best Looks

The 2021 Academy Awards Ceremony was unique experience. In the past year we have gotten used to watching ceremonies that are virtual and improvised red-carpet ceremonies from celebrities’ homes. However, The Oscars gave us a glimpse of normalcy. The event was treated as a movie production with on-cameras attendee didn’t not wearing masks. It was significantly smaller gathering, mainly taking place at Union Station Los Angeles and the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center.

There were some beautiful looks on the red carpet and Fashion Reverie chose ten looks for our viewers.

Colman Domingo arrived without a chance of not getting noticed, in a hot pink suit. The fuchsia number was custom made by Versace and it is not an easy ensemble to pull off. However, Colman did and should be on the best dressed list indeed!

Amanda Seyfried in Armani Privé looked ready for a ball! Her Cinderella pouf dress with a very low-cut décolletage looked like she was floating and ready to celebrate. Cinderella eat your heart out!!

Lee Isaac Chung and Valerie Chung were one of the cutest couples attending the 2021 Academy Awards, with Valerie looking radiant in Simone Rocha. Not necessarily an Oscar look but the golden shiny fabric was festive. The only drawback. Valerie Chung should go with a clutch next time.

Viola Davis wore a custom white Alexander McQueen dress with a silk skirt. She looked stunning and her figure perfectly hugged the frock. The bottom was made of light fabric and seemed a bit more casual. Still, Viola had one of the best red-carpet looks of the night.

H.E.R. walked the carpet and accepted the award for “Best Song” from “Judas and the Black Messiah” in a custom Dundas purple-beaded jumpsuit. The color was truly “royal.”

Margot Robbie was of course wearing Chanel Haute Couture and some Fine Jewelry. She always looks effortlessly put together and the dress in shades of silver seemed very special, given Chanel usually goes for black and white neutral colors most of the time.

Angela Bassett wore an Alberta Ferretti gown with a large bow in the back that looked breathtaking. Bassett brought old Hollywood glamour back and thigh-high slit that signals that time to start to enjoy 2021 a little.

Image courtesy of Chris Pizzello-Pool/Getty Images

Regina King left an impression as she opened the ceremony in a custom Louis Vuitton blue gown with intricate beading with butterfly-shaped structured shoulders. She looked confident which many cannot achieve with such a plunging neckline.

Audra Day’s performance as Billie Holiday in “The United States vs. Billie Holiday.” was without parallel.  And so was her 2021 Oscar red carpet look. Vera Wang’s metallic gold asymmetrical halter fishtail dress with midriff cutoff did Audra Day’s well-sculpted body well!!
