The 2021 Academy Awards Ceremony was unique experience. In the past year we have gotten used to watching ceremonies that are virtual and improvised red-carpet ceremonies from celebrities’ homes. However, The Oscars gave us a glimpse of normalcy. The event was treated as a movie production with on-cameras attendee didn’t not wearing masks. It was significantly smaller gathering, mainly taking place at Union Station Los Angeles and the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center.

There were some beautiful looks on the red carpet and Fashion Reverie chose ten looks for our viewers.

Colman Domingo arrived without a chance of not getting noticed, in a hot pink suit. The fuchsia number was custom made by Versace and it is not an easy ensemble to pull off. However, Colman did and should be on the best dressed list indeed!

Amanda Seyfried in Armani Privé looked ready for a ball! Her Cinderella pouf dress with a very low-cut décolletage looked like she was floating and ready to celebrate. Cinderella eat your heart out!!

Lee Isaac Chung and Valerie Chung were one of the cutest couples attending the 2021 Academy Awards, with Valerie looking radiant in Simone Rocha. Not necessarily an Oscar look but the golden shiny fabric was festive. The only drawback. Valerie Chung should go with a clutch next time.

Viola Davis wore a custom white Alexander McQueen dress with a silk skirt. She looked stunning and her figure perfectly hugged the frock. The bottom was made of light fabric and seemed a bit more casual. Still, Viola had one of the best red-carpet looks of the night.

H.E.R. walked the carpet and accepted the award for “Best Song” from “Judas and the Black Messiah” in a custom Dundas purple-beaded jumpsuit. The color was truly “royal.”

Margot Robbie was of course wearing Chanel Haute Couture and some Fine Jewelry. She always looks effortlessly put together and the dress in shades of silver seemed very special, given Chanel usually goes for black and white neutral colors most of the time.

Angela Bassett wore an Alberta Ferretti gown with a large bow in the back that looked breathtaking. Bassett brought old Hollywood glamour back and thigh-high slit that signals that time to start to enjoy 2021 a little.

Regina King left an impression as she opened the ceremony in a custom Louis Vuitton blue gown with intricate beading with butterfly-shaped structured shoulders. She looked confident which many cannot achieve with such a plunging neckline.

Audra Day’s performance as Billie Holiday in “The United States vs. Billie Holiday.” was without parallel.  And so was her 2021 Oscar red carpet look. Vera Wang’s metallic gold asymmetrical halter fishtail dress with midriff cutoff did Audra Day’s well-sculpted body well!!

Though Tyler Perry is not a red-carpet trendsetter, Fashion Reverie thought it was important to include him in this 2021 Oscar red-carpet roundup. Perry was awarded the 2021 Academy Awards Humanitarian Award and he is attired in custom Giorgio Armani, velvet slippers by Stubbs & Wootton, and glasses by Dita.
