We usually expect very interesting and beautiful red-carpet looks at the Grammy’s; however, the Billboard Music Awards might just give the Grammy’s a run for its money after the exciting looks witnessed at the 2021 Billboards. The 2021 Billboard Music Awards’ performances and guest list was excellent and when it comes to fashion there were many amazing and buzz-worthy looks. With Nick Jonas hosting, Drake receiving the Artist of the Decade Award and the likes of BTS, The Weekend, Pink, and Alicia Keys, this Billboard Music Awards was also a family affair with lots of celebrities accompanied their little ones.

Here are Fashion Reverie’s favorite nine looks:

Presenter Priyanka Chopra turned heads in Dolce & Gabbana high-slit, shiny, gold, transparent dress. She looked like a golden statue. This look was one of the most talked about looks of the evening.

Performers Jonas Brothers were also a trio (one of them part of a duo) and were also talked about because of how great they looked. Nick in Fendi, Joe in Prada and Kevin in Amiri put a whole lot of thought into their looks of the evening. Our favorite is Kevin in his indigo jacket, our least favorite is Robin Hood who tried a little too hard. You know who we are talking about?

Alicia Keys in Valentino was the winner look of the evening in Fashion Reverie’s opinion. Alicia went extravagant and a little over the top, which is not the we usually see from Alicia. This is pure glamour with an edge. We hope Alicia keeps this fashion streak going, we are there for it.

Though Pink’s pink Alexander McQueen gown made her look a bit matronly, congrats goes out to her for achieving the 2021 Billboard Music Icon Award. And she is wearing Alexander McQueen, so Fashion Reverie gives her a pass.

H.E.R., nominated for Top R&B Song, wore a Dior jumpsuit. This time around, H.E.R’s look was  disappointing, or this look just doesn’t photograph very well. Given it is Dior, it must have been done carefully with attention to detail; however, the finished look just did not translate on the red carpet.

DaBaby, in Gucci makes us wonder what has been going on with the Gucci brand (yet, again). Did DaBaby try to make this Gucci look make sense by highlighting the 70s leisure suit vibe with a pink turtlenck? Or is it the brand’s fault?

Doja Cat in Balmain is a look that is hard to describe because you must look at the look inch by inch and then repeat your inspection a few times. What did Fashion Reverie notice? Hmm, nice bell pants and a very small top with statement sleeves connected to jewelry, still not your usual sexy Balmain.

Kelsea Ballerini In Nedret Taciroglu brought a little bit of stardust with her stars and moon embellished, one-sleeve, fitted black mini dress. Everything looks in its place and she looks comfortable. One of the few of the evening who got it right!!

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly do not disappoint in a little black Mugler dress and an edgy Balmain suit. However, no amount of cut outs on that tight black dress could upstage or draw attention from Machine Gun Kelly’s black tongue! We still don’t know how this look (for the tongue) was achieved.
