Milan based brand ELY ELY showed their spring 2027 collection in the Artemest Galleria, in Chelsea for New York Fashion Week (NYFW). The collection has a variety of pieces in neutral colors, ranging from cashmere and silks; perfect for cold and hot weather. The collection and brand reflect a bigger story of going for your dreams and finding hope while facing tragedy.
Head designer and founder of ELY ELY, Elizaveta Yurushevea started the company in 2024 after the Ukraine War broke out. Native to Ukraine, she and her family relocated to Milan as the war evolved. Settling in Milan brought a striking realization to Yurushevea that there was no time like now. If she was going to pursue her dreams, she just needed to do it. “I decided that this was an opportunity to follow my dreams of becoming a designer.” “There is nothing like doing it, it was different from learning about it[the fashion industry] in school.” she recalls. “But I am glad I have a business background, everything is more structured in my business as a result.”
The structure of the business allows for space to create consistent collections without a lot of pressure. The collection was created for the life of a woman. It includes loungewear, workwear, and some looks reminiscent of resort wear for the warmer months. However, the colors, silhouettes, and fabric choices make it easy to wear across various seasons. Sheer looks are an important element of this spring 2027 collection which includes dresses with a lighter cashmere and sheer silk suit for the warmer months. Yurusheva explains that she doesn’t like having to change her whole wardrobe when seasons change. This point of view is reflected with sheer cashmere pieces that can be easily layered with heavier pieces as temperatures fluctuate.
Another standout part of the collection is the ‘Hatty Draped Jacket’ which is a wrap blazer and one of the signature pieces of the spring 2027 collection. Looking back on her corporate years, Yurusheva wanted the required corporate blazer to be a little more fun, multidimensional, and ultra feminine.
The brand fully lives up to the traditional high expectation of the “Made in Italy” stamped clothing, as the brand is 100% manufactured in Milan using only real cashmeres and silks. “ELY ELY draws inspiration from new forms of knitwear and tailoring, crafted in premium materials,” as Yurushevea explains.
