After 15 years in the bridal industry, Ricca Sposa and its designer, Yuliia Lobachova, had to kick off the momentous anniversary with a bang. The Ukrainian luxury label, founded by Lobachova, looked to the island of Capri for what was aptly named its Couture Capri collection. While bridal gowns and their construction are often intricate, Ricca Sposa wanted to show that couture-level bridal can also feel relaxed and effortless, fit for a wedding that could take place on a yacht.
The collection’s details included intricate lace, sculpted corsetry, sheer detailing, and architectural silhouettes. Lobachova ensured there was something for every type of bride, from those who wanted sweeping trains and voluminous skirts to elegantly tailored, form-fitting gowns.
Although Lobachova looks to her Ukrainian heritage to help inspire many of her collection details, Lobachova still keeps her designs modern. In the past, in Ukraine, brides wore embroidered white or vibrant linen, and cotton shirtdresses, skirts, and aprons rather than plain white gowns. Today, Ukrainian brides often choose contemporary A-line or straight-cut white gowns accented with subtle tone-on-tone or colorful folk embroidery.
The A-line and straight cuts were present in Ricca Sposa’s gowns, and although the brand opted for classic white, lace craftsmanship put embroidery on full display. Lace was also a prominent trend across bridal collections this season, extending beyond gowns to accessories such as gloves, veils, and other embellishments.

Beyond the meticulously crafted gowns, Ricca Sposa also introduced pet bridal accessories during its presentation. The brand partnered with Shaya Pets for an exclusive collection of bridal accessories for dogs. The collection includes “The Something Bow” and “The Something Borrowed Pouch.” “The Something Bow” is an oversized ivory satin bow accented with delicate lace appliqués modeled after a veil. “The Something Borrowed Pouch” pairs a statement ivory satin bow with a softly structured, lace-covered miniature handbag for four-legged wedding guests. Now brides can coordinate with their canine companions.
