Though it’s hard to believe that magazine magnate Conde Nast could expand any more than it already has, the magazine behemoth has done just that.

To solidify and strengthen its influence in the Middle East, Conde Nast International is launching Vogue Arabia this fall. Vogue Arabia will start as an online publication in Arabic and English and later go into print in spring 2017.

Vogue Arabia’s editor-in-chief will be Saudian princess Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz and will be distributed in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. Potential future markets for Vogue Arabia is Lebanon, Egypt, and Morocco, as well as cities that have large Arab populations.

Lights, water, Fendi

Fendi will celebrate its 90th anniversary with a runway show at Rome’s Trevi Fountain.  Fendi’s “ Legends and Fairy Tales collection” will use water and light displays to compliment the collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld and and Silvia Venturini Fendi. This collection is planned for July 7.

“A fashion show in Rome at the Trevi Fountain is the best way to celebrate Fendi’s 90 years anniversary as it expresses our roots and DNA while transmitting daring creativity and craftsmanship,” said Pietro Beccari, Fendi chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “The Trevi Fountain is a unique place and it represents Fendi’s preservation of values, tradition and historic patronage while looking towards the future.”

Puma ole skool

Puma has enlisted Kyle Jenner and other tastemakers for its latest footwear campaign.  Puma is betting that Kyle Jenner, Snapchat queen YesJulz, hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd and rap artist Young Thug will present a fresh look to its classic Puma Suede sneaker.

The classic Puma Suede sneaker was very popular among urban youth, celebrity figures and hip hot artists from the late 70s through the early 90s. Puma is hoping that by bringing by the classic silhouette photographer on today’s tastemakers will again make the Puma Suede sneaker a must-have sneak.

The legendary OG STREET photographer Jamel Shabazz is photographing the campaign on the streets of Brooklyn.

Affordable couture

Can you afford couture clothes? Outside of couture garments in consignment and vintage stores, couture clothes are economically out of most consumers reach. Well, that is about to change.

Couturissimo, a London–based e-commerce site is offering couture clothes at an affordable price. According to fashionmag.com, designed by Asian Couture Federation (ACF) designer members Indonesia’s Sebastian Gunawan and Dubai-based Filipino couturier Michael Cinco, Couturissimo.com offers limited-edition pieces from a changing roster of designers at accessible prices ranging from 170 to 800 euros.

Couturissiomo will have a virtural fitting room, “where customers can create their own avatar based on their measurements to test garment fits,” announced co-creative director Livia Stoianova of label On Aura Tout Vu. The site has coincidentally launched during the recent Couture Fashion Week in Paris and carries select garments from international couturiers.
