Do you prefer a Lacoste Alligator on your polo or you would like a Peanuts’ character? Hmm, can’t decide?

Well, now you don’t have to choose between a Lacoste alligator or a Peanuts’ character. In celebration of Peanuts 65th anniversary, Lacoste has partnered with the beloved PEANUTS cartoon gang for limited-edition apparel available at Lacoste US boutiques and on its e-commerce site.  The iconic characters (Snoopy, Charlie Brown, etc.) are celebrating their 65th birthday this year and are also releasing a new 3D wide release animation “The Peanuts Movie” via 20th Century Fox.

To celebrate this milestone, the loveable 4 heroes are staying active with the LACOSTE croc: Snoopy fishing; Charlie Brown golfing; Lucy playing tennis, and Linus in a game of tug of war are all featured on special embroidered pique polos, fleece sweatshirts for men, women and kids!  Colors will range from white, navy, grey, and black with retail price from $85–$145.

Editors’ Halloween Store Pick: NYC’s Screaming Mimi’s

1screamingmimisAre you a last-minute shopper and did Halloween just slip up on you? Well, if you are and you are looking for that one-of-a-kind, out-of-the-box costume, New York City’s Screaming Mimi’s may have just the right Halloween costume for you.

Since 1978, Screaming Mimi’s has been the go-to shop for vintage clothes. With a selection that dates to garments and accessories from the 1920s to the much sought-after 90s vintage clothing, Screaming Mimi’s stock has an air of authenticity that is difficult to match.

Screaming Mimi's-Pratt_14For this Halloween, legendary NYC vintage boutique-Screaming Mimi’s and Pratt Institute teamed up this year and held a themed “Under the Sea” costume competition for the fashion design students at Pratt. The winning design by Lizzy Gee is being displayed in the store window, along with the finalists’ costumes in store from now until October 31.

Judges on the panel included Lynn Yaeger, Mickey Boardman, Laura Wills (screaming Mimi’s owner), Jennifer Minniti (Pratt Institute Fashion Chair),and  Melanie Schmidt (Pratt Institute Adjunct Fashion Professor & Costume Designer). The costumes are available for purchase in store.
