By the second half of the presentation, the familiar LaQuan Smith woman came back into full view. She appeared in sheer, body-conscious gowns, dramatic cutouts, and evening looks that celebrated the female form. The sensuality was still there, but it felt like one part of a much larger wardrobe.
The beauty added to the fantasy. Hair extensions by True Hair Company, styled under the direction of Orlando Pita, brought height, movement and drama to the runway. Inspired by the Garden of Eden and exotic plumage, the hair became an important part of the overall look rather than simply an accessory to the clothing.
The spring 2027 collection expands the LaQuan Smith woman without taking away the qualities that make her recognizable. She can wear a sharply tailored suit or oversized trench during the day, change into dark denim for something more relaxed and still arrive at night in a sheer gown that commands attention.
Smith has taken the glamour, confidence, and sensuality that have long defined his work and allowed those qualities to exist throughout the day. Structured tailoring and functional denim sit alongside feathers, wild prints and body-conscious eveningwear, creating a wardrobe for a woman who does not have to wait until midnight to make an entrance.
