After designing a collection heavily focused on eveningwear in February 2026, “Project Runway” Season 21 winner Veejay Floresca took a slight pivot for spring 2027, shifting her focus more toward daywear. Elements her collections are known for, such as tailoring, colorful suits, and unique textures, were still on display.
Opting for a presentation-style format allowed viewers to see the details of the collection up close and personal. One standout look from the collection was a raffia cocktail dress unlike anything else in the collection. Floresca proved that while she might be known for more classic eveningwear with a twist, she can also push into a more avant-garde direction.
The world was originally introduced to Floresca via her winning season on “Project Runway,” and now she’s showing who she can be as a designer. She has built her line into womenswear, menswear, and bridal, and with this collection, has proven she can do both eveningwear and daywear.
Her love of colors, patterns, and textures that continuously inform her collections all come from her Filipina heritage. The Philippines is often underrated for its beautiful textiles, and a closer look at the details revealed how the country’s cultural inspiration informed elements like fringe, woven materials, and sheer sections of garments. One look featured what seemed to be dangling carved beads attached to the hemline of the skirt.

Several looks echoed back to Floresca’s shuttlecock outfits from the unconventional materials challenge on “Project Runway,” including a sheer black dress with horizontal lines and the aforementioned raffia dress. Inclusivity is also key to Floresca’s line, and her presentation featured several plus-size models, two of whom stood out in a black ruffle, almost showgirl-inspired dress, and another in a classic black off-the-shoulder dress with a statement floral appliqué accent on the shoulder. Veejay Floresca’s collection offered something for everyone.
