Fragrance heads rejoice! Summer 2026 is a great season to embrace fragrance. Fragrances that sit lighter on the skin are in, and bergamot is the scent of the moment. Don’t panic though, if you’re a floral, oud or vanilla devotee; perfumers have also unveiled scents to add to your existing fragrance wardrobe. In addition, there are new mists and oils, designed to be layered to achieve your one-of-a-kind scent. The result? A lighter, fresher take on your favorite perfume that makes it ideal for the long hot days of summer.
The big guns like Chanel, Lancome, Valentino, GUESS and newer brands like Cyklar and BDK Parfums have some exciting new scents to experiment with in the coming months.

BDK Parfums: This luxury Parisian niche fragrance house has just introduced Collection Studio, three Absolus de Parfum, crafted by perfumer Jordi Fernández of Givaudan in honor of BDK’s tenth anniversary. Each has a concentration ranging from 40% to 48%, which is remarkable; the average for a perfume (EDP) is 15-20%.
Givaudaun and his team combined rich raw materials in unexpected ways to create Oud Paradiso, Silver Ceremony, and Stellar Silk. Oud Paradiso is a departure from the heavy oud scents that have enjoyed popularity in the past 5 years. Paradiso adds bergamot and pineapple for a crisp and impactful scent journey.
Silver Ceremony is a punchy blend of bergamot, mandarin, ginger and pink pepper.
Stellar Silk is the most intriguing of the 3, inspired by the fluidity of Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino Garavani silk evening gowns. The sensual blend opens with creamy sandalwood, spicy ginger, cinnamon bark, and saffron enveloped in musk and sandalwood.

Chanel has been a player in the luxe fragrance space since Coco Chanel launched Chanel No5 in the spring of 1921. Over a century later, the house is still doing a gang-buster business with their new fragrances and scented body oils, both in the Les Exclusifs de Chanel fragrance family. Les Exclusifs de Chanel fragrances evoke various chapters of Mademoiselle Chanel’s story. Paris-Deauville EDT checks all the boxes for a fresh summer fragrance. In-House Perfumer Creator, Olivier Polge, describes Paris-Deauville as “a fresh, green and aromatic eau de toilette” of aromatic green facets of basil combined with sparkling top notes of Sicilian orange and bergamot.

Le Lion de Chanel body oil is also part of the Les Exclusifs family. It too has bergamot but is decidedly sensuous, thanks to notes of patchouli, musk, and vanilla.

Cyklar recently exploded on the scene with body oils that are incredibly popular, thanks in part to Oprah Winfrey’s endorsement so much so that the brand’s website and Sephora having trouble keeping the oils in stock.
