Fashion Group International’s 40th Anniversary Gala

Fashion Group International (FGI) marked the 40th anniversary of its prestigious Night of Stars gala at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, where fashion icons and industry leaders gathered for an unforgettable evening. This high-profile event brought together stars, designers, executives, tastemakers, and cultural influencers from various sectors to celebrate changemakers whose contributions have left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape. FGI rolled out the red carpet for a night brimming with glamour and recognition.

The event kicked off with a buzz of excitement as notable guests such as Kate Hudson, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Coco Rocha, Reed Krakoff, Delphine Krakoff, Elie Tahari, Zac Posen, Fern Mallis, Jean Shafiroff, Dennis Basso, and the D’Amelio family appeared on the red carpet. The night continued with an exclusive cocktail reception hosted by Cyril Verdavainne, FGI’s Rising Star Award-winning designer, who mingled with models and fashion insiders. Other prominent attendees included Lynda Lopez, Amina Vassa, Ginna Le Vine, and CNBC’s Rebecca Quick.

Fashion Visionary: Reed Krakoff, presented by Trey Laird
Design Heritage: MAX MARA, accepted by Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti, presented by Kate Hudson
FGI Founders’ Award: Fern Mallis, presented by MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle
Humanitarian Award: Harry Kargman, Kargo, presented by Jeannine Shao Collins
Fashion Vanguard Award: LaQuan Smith, presented by Jacqueline Cooper
Media Award: Marc, Heidi, Dixie, and Charli D’Amelio, presented by Davis Burleson
Beauty Award: Catherine Bomboy Dougherty of The Estée Lauder Companies, presented by Alexandra Devlin from William Morris Endeavor

Reflecting on the milestone event, FGI President and CEO Maryanne Grisz shared, “On this 40th anniversary of FGI Night of Stars, I am so honored to be a part of this landmark year, recognizing icons who are incredible visionaries, and have made a positive impact in the industry. The FGI Night of Stars is Fashion Group International’s flagship annual gala, was created to celebrate exceptional talents across fashion, beauty, entertainment, sustainability, arts, and humanitarian efforts. This red-carpet event, renowned for its stellar guest list and honorees, garners worldwide attention.
