If you are in New York City and do not have tickets to New York Fashion Week (NYFW), there is no reason to fret. The CFDA is making NYFW accessible to New Yorkers and tourists by streaming NYFW spring 2025 shows at Rockefeller Center.
In partnership with Rockefeller Center from September 6 through September 11, at the Rockefeller Center ice rink, the public can view the spring 2025 collections of Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Coach, Carolina Herrera, Khaite, Brandon Maxwell, Proenza Schouler, Ulla Johnson, Willy Chavarria, Luar, and more! There will be a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at Rockefeller Center on September 6, unveiling this streaming service. In attendance will be Anna Wintour, CFDA President Steven Kolb, and CFDA chairman Thom Browne.
Tyra and Gigi get together
In a new Instagram reel, Tyra Banks and Gigi Hadid discussed Victoria’ Secret runway show returning to New York City. Both Gigi and Tyra walked in Victoria’s Secret shows, Tyra nine times, Gigi three times, to be exact.
These two most-famous Victoria’s Secret models announced this on Instagram on August 28. The Instagram video shows the models meeting in the lobby of a hotel, both with invitations to walk in the show. Tyra is wearing a jacket and shirt with the Victoria’s Secret logo, advertising the upcoming show while Gigi is surprised at Tyra’s appearance in the hotel lobby, ending with an affectionate “I love you” from Gigi.
The video was captioned, “Sorry, couldn’t write a caption, we were too busy picking up our jaws off the floor at @tyrabanks and @gigihadid delivering VSFS invites. You understand” and was set to the tune of Chappell Roan’s “Femininomenon.”
Top models that will also walk in the upcoming show include Imaan Hammam, Candice Swanepoel, Grace Elizabeth, Devyn Garcia, Paloma Elsesser, Taylor Hill, and Mayowa Nicholas.
Wynona is back
Wynona Ryder is having a career resurgence. She is starring in “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” which comes out later this month. (She starred in the original “Beetlejuice” in the 1980s.) Adding to this resurgence, Ryder is currently the new face of Jimmy Choo’s fall 2024 Glamour Refined collection campaign.
Ryder stars in a series of stills and videos conceived by Paris-based art directors Ezra Petronio and Lana Petrusevych of Petronio Associates. Ryder’s look in this fall 2024 campaign reflects Ryder’s classic style from the 1990s, a pared back, less-is-more style.
The timing of the campaign marries perfectly with Wynona Ryder recreating her role in “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” which hits theaters this month. Ryder’s style and persona reflect the 1990s when Jimmy Choo as a brand was just starting out.
“This collection is about exploring a quintessentially British interpretation of a ladylike aesthetic. I was reminiscing on that moment in the 1990s when different worlds collided— models, the YBAs and socialites, it was also when Jimmy Choo was born. There was a distinct minimalism, a classicism, but always with an element of eccentricity. It made it fundamentally British, and distinctly Jimmy Choo,” explained Jimmy Choo creative director Sandra Choi.
