As June is national Pride Month many brands bring out special collections for this month to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. It is also a great time to honor and highlight companies that are Queer founded or owned. For Pride Month Fashion Reverie attempts to assist you find new products and brands that pique your interest.
Ality Designs
Ality Designs is a slow fashion brand from California that creates fashion basics that are great layering pieces. The brand utilizes their unique voice as they are contributing to the gender free movement and are designing items in partner with a boutique mother-daughter design house out of Los Angeles. The first collection is called Layers, which features nine understated luxury pieces including tees, joggers, hoodies, and their signature pieces My Dad’s Jacket and Lifebound Vest. These pieces are all available in sizes S-XL and each item comes in at least two different colors. This is a great brand to add to your closet as they create high quality basics that are gender neutral.
NTRL by Sabs
Sabrina Rowe Holdsworth, the Black Queer Female Founder of NTRL by Sabs and a celebrity hairstylist created the brand because of her passion for natural hair care. Holdsworth’s products became in demand from the clients she couldn’t see in person during the pandemic, which is how NTRL by Sabs was born. The brand includes products like Shampoo and Conditioner Bars, a multiuse oil, and some face and body products as well.
Gismondi 1754 Peace Collection
Massimo Gismondi, creator of Gismondi 1754, has designed the Peace Collection this year to celebrate Pride Month. These pieces are a great way to embrace the vibrant spirit of inclusivity and self-expression.
Massimo Gismondi explains the purpose and inspiration behind the collection, “Love has no boundaries it is true but it can only excel with Peace.” The Peace collection includes earrings, rings, and bracelets in a variety of colors made from rubies, sapphires, and aquamarines.
Skull and Bones
Skull and Bones is a brand that focuses on creating undergarments and basics that are beautifully crafted. The brand is determined to offer products that stand out from competitors by including gorgeous prints and creating high quality underwear at a budget friendly price. Skull and Bones was established by Robert Matysiewski who is Coach’s former senior director of Men’s Bags & Accessories and Vincent Pilato, who is both his partner in life and business.
