New York City is always at the heart of collaboration and the perfect way to bring a city together is through streetwear and sports. In February, Daniel Patrick, a former athlete and now fashion designer has done a recent collaboration with New York Red Bulls’ and Major League Soccer. The collaboration debuted February 9th at a launch presentation at The Venue at the Music at Hard Rock Hotel during New York Fashion Week (NYFW).
With inspiration coming from Daniels’ favorite city, home of the New York Red bulls, the teams landed on a beautiful tye dye print that symbolizes the constant motion and energy of New York City. When creating the jerseys, Daniels wanted to create something that would fit the brand’s DNA in terms of color and detail.
The hue of colors used for the jerseys also gives a subtle nod to the cabs of New York City and coordinates with the center circle of Red Bull arena. The Adidas gear features AEROREADY technology and ventilated, mesh panels that keep you dry and comfortable all game long. For those not aware, AEROREADY technology absorbs sweat to cool you down so you can focus on that extra mile, that extra rep, that extra push to do better than you’ve done before.
