The American Music Awards (AMAs), an annual event that celebrates talent is often a fashion spectacle and never disappoints. Remember Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake wearing matching double denim outfits 20 years ago? We knew this year would be special given that Cardi B was the host of the evening. Cardi B brings that extra something special and is always entertaining. Cardi B showed up wearing a golden mask, gold fingernail gloves and a black veiled gown by Schiaparelli. Could others follow up and rise to the challenge? Fashion Reverie reveals some great looks for the 2021 AMAs.

Speaking of JoJo, pop signer JoJo in a silver cutout gown by Usama Ishtay left little to the imagination.  JoJo turned heads with this look, since the silhouette enhanced her beautiful curves.

Rachel Zegler

“Westside Story’s” Rachel Zegler wore a black and white tiered Carolina Herrera gown to the 2021 AMA. Though she looked wonderful, maybe this look was a little too formal for this occasion.

Kali Uchis

This look was custom made for Kali. This singer nominated for several Billboard Latin awards this year showed up in a MUGLER corset-inspired mini dress. Fashion Reverie loves that she added a matching cape. Though this outfit bordered on a  Vanity 6 fantasy flashback, it does make an interesting conversation item.

Billy Porter

Fashion Reverie loves that he always puts his best foot forward when it comes to fashion and red carpets. The bright blue Botter suit with an umbrella blue hat was a full bingo look!! Still, did Grace Jones do it better a couple of decades ago?

Becky G

Becky G wore a bodycon, mini dress by Rais Vanessa. The long sleeves and accessories completed the look. This was definitely a dress down for Becky C, who usually turns it off on red carpets.

Winnie Harlow

Top model Winnie Harlow was the most glamorous celeb of the evening in a Zuhair Murad dress that was pretty much made of beading and sequins She completed this look with a pair of strappy heels and a studded headband.
