Fashion Reverie’s Favorite Looks from the 2021 VMAs

So much happened at the 2021 Video Music Awards (VMAs)! After over a year of staying home and a virtual red carpet for the 2020 VMAs. everyone seems to be happy to be back walking the red carpet.

Celebrities brought their best fashion-forward looks and what Fashion Reverie loves about the VMA’s is that this award show is conjures up a very innovative crowd when it comes to fashion. Anything or in some cases very little goes!

Here are Fashion Reverie’s favorite looks:

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly

If you remember Megan’s cut-out dress from this year’s Billboard Awards, Fashion Reverie thought Megan can’t wear anything with any less fabric. Well, we were wrong! Last night she wore a nearly nude number by the same brand (MUGLER) with a very fancy, embellished thong.

Her date Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) wore a shimmering red Dolce & Gabbana suit. They just love a matching moment!

Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X wore Atelier Versace!! Lil Nas X left quite an impression in a modest look in comparison to other celebrities at the VMAs. However, his lavender set stood out and had a train long enough to turn all the paparazzi’s heads! Lil Nax X really knows how to walk the walk.

Normani wore a new designer Patrycja Pagas and Djula jewelry ahead of her racy performance. The fit was perfect for her rocking body. Fashion Reverie thought the outfit was an interesting combination of styles and an unexpected look for a matching top and shorts.

Bretman Rock

Does this look seem familiar? Aaliyah wore the very same gown to the 2000s VMAs, so this tribute to her was so lovely addition to the red carpet. The dress is a vintage Roberto Cavalli feather-trimmed number and a perfect choice for Bretman. Nailed the look!

Kacey Musgraves

The royal-purple sleeveless Valentino mini dress with a ruched skirt was such a refreshing look for Kacey! She completed her look with an oversized purple ostrich feather hat by Philip Treacy for Valentino and red leather gloves. This very interesting combination left quite an impression!

Rita Ora

Vera Wang is often a great choice for red carpets, especially this season. Vera Wang’s designs are more innovative than ever this season and Rita made the right choice by wearing shorts, high thighs, and a cut-out cape! At first glance, this combination seems simple, but take a second look and you will observe there is more to catch the eye!!

Simone Biles

Though Simone Biles didn’t give her best performance at the Tokyo Olympics, Biles slayed on the VMAs red carpet in a simple pink one-shoulder gown with high slit.

Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney wore Olivier Theyskens and Fashion Reverie approves of her latest style. The drummer’s girl matched her beau and the two looked stunning and in love. The look showed off Courtney’s curves and she looked radiant.
