GIFT SET: RORY WORBY LUXE SILK SCARF AND LUZ ORTIZ PINTO EARRINGS

This accessory lover’s gift set is a one-two punch of quiet luxury. While we’re not out and about nearly as much as in years past, we still need to look put-together from the waist up for those zoom and facetime calls. Nothing sparks-up an outfit as easily as a gorgeous scarf and interesting pair of earrings.

Like the famed Hermes silk scarves, artist Rory Worby’s scarves ($398) are entirely made by hand. She’s blended her apparel industry experience with her skill as an artist to create a collection of nature-themed scarves, kimonos and kaftans made with only the finest grade silks. Her painstaking design process involves stretching the silk on a frame to hand paint each design with Japanese sumi brushes. Better still, Rory’s production method is eco-friendly, as she uses natural sea salt, environmentally friendly dyes, and non-toxic, water-based resist. The two-week wait is well worth it for a unique piece of wearable art.

The tawny colors in the spotted leopard scarf are enhanced when paired with Luz Ortiz’s unique gold “Pinto earrings” ($260). This up-and-coming fine jewelry designer draws inspiration from her upbringing in the Caribbean tropics, as well as from sleek architecture and industrial elements. The gold Pinto beans evoke Elsa Peretti’s famous “bean” earrings for Tiffany & Co., but on a much bolder scale. Luz handcrafts the earrings from sterling silver with an 18 K gold vermeil overlay.  All Luz Ortiz jewelry is made in New York City.

For 2020, go big or go home. It’s 2020, and technology is King. So, how about his and her Tesla Cyber Trucks (starting at $39,000) that have the car magazines salivating?  This truck looks nothing like the interior of Ford’s insanely popular F-150. The Tesla truck’s interior is a minimalist’s dream come true. The slab-like dashboard has one, yes, just one, touchscreen. One-hundred dollars gets you a buy-in, meaning it secures you a place on the waiting list for this Jetsons-like vehicle. The $100 is a nice gesture that gives you time to save up for the trucks. Although you won’t get delivery until late 2021, it’s the thought that counts. Right?

Humanrace Skincare Three-Minute Facial Routine Pack ($100)

The key to aging gracefully is proper skincare. Your face will look only as good as you treat it, so you better treat it right. For years, people have commented how music producer and style master Pharrell Williams continues to look so young for his age. At his current age of 47, he seems to have barely aged in the last quarter century. To give fans insight on how he has maintained his youthful visage, he created Humanrace, a product company with a mission to empower all people in their pursuit of wellbeing.

To begin, Humanrace has created a facial line that takes the confusion out of skincare. The line is anchored by its “three-minute facial” contained within its Routine Pack.  The assemblage includes a rice powder cleanser, a lotus enzyme exfoliator, and a humidifying cream. The brand boasts that the dermatologist tested product line is vegan, gluten free, cruelty free, fragrance free, and microtear safe.

Cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate. Those are Pharrell’s simple tips to his fresh-faced look. If these three steps are the path to looking as preserved as Pharrell, sign us up!
