The year 2024 promises to be a year of renewal, discovery, and growth. In the US, 2024 is a presidential election, a very important election year. Are we moving forward or going back to what doesn’t work. It’s our choice.

In the entertainment industry, there is a moving-forward momentum. With the writer’s and actor’s strikes over, industry professionals have demanded and received to some extent their true desserts. And the 2024 Golden Globes demonstrated a celebration of that ownership and freedom, evidenced in more bold color and some fanciful silhouettes.

Portman set a new standard in a sequined floral masterpiece by Dior Haute Couture, Jimmy Choo shoes and De Beers diamond earrings and eternity band. And her performance in “May December” set hearts racing!!

The “Barbie” movie was all about pink and the star and executive producer of the “Barbie” movie, Margot Robbie, came to the 2024 Golden Globes pretty in pink. Margot Robbie stunned on the red carpet in a Giorgio Armani Prive pink gown with pink boa to match.

Natasha Lyonne

Natasha was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in “Poker Face.” Always a trend setter, and known for her sometimes, avant-garde style, Natasha Lyonne stayed true to her brand aesthetic in a sculptural, tasseled Schiaparelli dress paired with a metallic manicure and gold earrings.

“Ted Lasso” star Hannah Waddingham wore a sheer lace Suzanne Neville gown. Now this look is the definition of va va voom!!

We have all heard and witnessed Winfrey recent weight loss. Well, that weight loss was all on display at this year’s Golden Globes as Oprah showed off her slimmed-down curves in a purple custom Louis Vuitton gown.

Fashion Reverie never leaves out the men. And there was a lot of great male fashion to go around. Starting with Lenny Kravitz, he proved that you can be fashion forward and fifty and fabulous in a black Alexander McQueen tuxedo with side cutouts. You rock, Lenny!!

Colman Domingo

This has been a banner year for Colman Domingo. He has starring roles in “Rustin,” which he was nominated for and in “The Color Purple.” Domingo lit up the runway in a black mandarin collar custom Louis Vuitton jacket with pearl buttons, tuxedo flared pants, black loafers and two golden brooches.

Leto’s red-carpet choice aligned with some of his other red-carpet choices in the past. Leto donned a tuxedo ensemble from Givenchy’s spring 2024 collection, accessorized with black leather gloves. Very stylish, but a little eerie, all true to Leto’s style.

Ayo not only won the Golden Globe for Best Female Actor Television – Musical, but also stunned on the red carpet.  Ayo demonstrated her poise and beauty in a red Prada with long train.

Congratulations Sarah, for winning your first Golden Globe. That said, next time around carefully choose your red-carpet look. The Prabal Gurung black lace gown with sheer lace midriff was a dippity don’t and slightly matronly. Next time select a gown that shows off those beautiful curves!!
