Celebrity Style: Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet Fashion

Does award season ever end, not in this country? But, we really don’t want an end to the parade of celebrities in the hottest fashion of the day.  And the Teen Choice Awards is no exception to our obsession with what celebs wear on red carpets. Though the Teen Choice Awards celebrates entertainment that appeals to the average American teenager, there was no dearth of sexy fashion on the red carpet.

Demi Lovato rocked in Falguni and Shane Peacock, and the little peek-a-boo mesh in the bustier area kept Demi sexy without showing too much skin.  Selena Gomez was pretty in pink with this adorable from Dsquared 2, and Zooey Deschanel was classy and well put together in Monique L’huillier.

Jordin Sparks carries over that star quality from her star turn in Sparkle in an embroidered Chagourey couture black mini dress. Victoria Justice looks fetching in a Gomez-Garcia dress, and Miranda Cosgrave looks fresh and fashion forward in a Collette Minnigan number.

Carly Mae Jensen has the perfect red-carpet pose in a Lisa Ho, while Nina Dobrev stuns in J. Mendel.  And Hayden Panettiere shimmers in Zuhair Murad.

Tony Awards 2012 Red Carpet

Though the Tony Awards may not have as many household names as other premier awards ceremonies, this annual celebration of all things good on Broadway brings out celebrities who know how shine and sparkle on a red carpet. Remember, some of the most adored celebrities got their start hoofing up on that stretch of real estate between 41st and 53rd streets. And now that success on Broadway can revitalize a movie career that is petering between lukewarm and who’s that, Tinseltown celebs are eager to prove that they can conquer the Great Way.

Bernadette Peters still knows how to work it in Donna Karan, while Jessica Chastain titillates and stuns in Mario Schwab. Amanda Seyfried brings lots of color and pushes the proverbial fashion envelope in Givenchy.

Sheryl Crow stuns in Marchesa—can’t wait for her Broadway collaboration. Nikki James is sophisticated and sexy in Rachel Roy, while Elizabeth A. Banks’ gorgeous smile lights up a slightly overworked Christian Siriano gown.

Broadway veterans Cynthia Nixon and Ellen Barkin show they are not to be outdone by newcomers in Carolina Herrera and L’Wren Scott, respectively. And Beth Behrs sparkles and shines in Naeem Khan.

2012 MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet

Fashion Reverie keeps you in the know with what celebrities are wearing on Hollywood red carpets, red carpets in the South of France or  music award show red carpets. Though the 2012 MTV Movie Award is far less formal than the Golden Globes or the recent Cannes Film Festival, celebrities and starlets still want to look their best and show off the time they’ve spent in the gym. You won’t see many couture gowns, tuxes or floor-length concoctions made of tulle or organza, but if short cocktail dresses and rock n’ roll‒inspired clothes get your juices going, then the MTV Movie Awards is your type of party!!

Though Charlize Theron knocked the ball out of the park in Lanvin, Christina Ricci and Emmas Stone are more than holding their own, respectively in Christian Siriano and Martin Grant.

Twilight’s Julia Jones turned lots of heads in a yellow neon Joy Cioci dress, while The Descendants’ Shailene Woodley proves if you’ve got it, you can flaunt even in a double-breasted, halter-neck low-cut vest and tailored trouser by Stella McCartney. And Julianne Hough makes a bold statement in a Sally LaPointe number.

Ciara shows a lot of skin in Balmain, and Leighton Meester looks fresh and stylish in Christian Cota.   While Elizabeth Banks made a statement in Elie Saab.

Kristen Stewart pumped up the volume in muted, silver metallic Guishen with yellow and purple geometric shapes. Emma Watson was fashion forward a Brood purple-print mini dress. Still, Jessica Biel won the paparazzi and fans over in lacy, 70s‒inspired Chanel dress.

Cannes Film Festival 2012 Red Carpet Fashion

Fans of award season red carpet fashion sometimes forget that although the Academy Awards is the premiere event of the year, there is still plenty of red carpet gold to go around after the Oscars. The Cannes Film Festival which extends from May 16 to the 27 provides actors and celebrities one of the last opportunities of the season to flaunt eye-popping fashion by some of the industry’s hottest designers. Gucci, Versace Atelier, Marchesa and Valentino were the overall designers of choice at Cannes with the continuing trends of diaphanous fabrics, floral embellishments and sequins ruled the day.

Fashion Reverie gives its readers a summary of some of the great looks that quickened pulses and set cameras clicking before these celebrities jet away to resort retreats in St. Tropez, the Hamptons and other exotic getaways.

Janet Jackson demonstrates that she is sticking to her Nutrisystem regimen by looking great in a white Pucci gown. And Natasha Poly stuns in two different Gucci gowns, giving a little lusty leg in forest green Gucci.

Some celebs were attracted to gowns with trains as evidenced by Fan Bingbing in decorative Christopher Bu and Eva Longoria in Marchesa.

Nicole Kidman was a showstopper in Greek-inspired Lanvin, while Jada Pinkett-Smith and Freida Pinto attracted lots of attention in Alberta Ferretti and Versace Atelier, respectively.

Septuagenarian Jane Fonda holds her own and makes a statement in Valentino. And supermodels Heidi Klum in Marchesa and Eva Herzigova in Dolce Gabbana bring lush beauty and elegance.
