Fashion Reverie Has a Jones for These Mega Popstars Live Shows

We are living in some challenging times. These uncertain times that will looked back on as a critical turning point toward justice and equality or a tumultuous uprising. There are only two options, to be on the right side or the wrong side. And there are no exceptions for celebrities and our favorite musicians. Silence is complicity and some celebrities have certainly lived up to their part as global citizens.

With live concerts and big gatherings canceled, we can only dream of what the next big concert we would look like. Fashion Reverie has selected celebrities that aren’t keeping quiet about injustice, give great stage performances, and are unbelievably chic.

Beyoncé

She has helped Texas during the COVID-9 pandemic, and has always spoken out against racial injustice. Her whole family supports these causes so Fashion Reverie can’t wait to see this incredible woman back on stage. Her style is feminine and avant-garde. Remember this Peter Dundas goddess outfit? Our jaws dropped seeing Beyoncé covered in gold, sparkles, and shimmer. This was on stage at the 2017 Grammys; a perfect megastar “maternity“ look.

Images courtesy of pinteres.com and insider.com, respectively

Taylor Swift

If you didn’t read her twitter message to Trump, you are missing out. A lot of new fans came on board because of this tweet, while the old fans were reminded that they like their feisty Taylor. Swift’s style is very “All-American girl,” after all she is our sweetheart. We hope to hear some new songs borne out of COVID-19 quarantine and protesting. That said; Fashion Reverie would love to see her move past safe fashion and go for more bold looks.

Images courtesy of pinterest.com and billboard.com, respectively

Lady Gaga

She has been speaking up and using her platform to make a change since her early stage appearances. Her latest address on her social media was for graduates of 2020. She is an inspiration for future generations and has always been an inspiration in music and the fashion world. We can’t wait until she is back on stage. Who knows what type of theatrical stage outfit Lady Gaga will don when she returns to the stage?

Images courtesy of hypebeast.com and thenet.com, respectively

Jennifer Lopez

She went to the protests with her children to teach her kids about the power of protests. We can always count on J-Lo to use her celebrity platform for a good cause. This is, of course, always done in an amazing outfit. We can’t wait for her next concert!

Images courtesy of sandsstyle.com and marieclaire.com, respectively

Celine Dion

Her new album “Courage” now has a bigger meaning. Even though her world tour was postponed, Celine didn’t stop using her voice against injustice. Fashion Reverie can’t wait to see her on stage soon.

Images courtesy of consequenceofsound.com and bbc.com, respectively

Lizzo

She showed her emotions by opening up on stage, and breaking down in tears to her followers. We usually see her happy and cheerful, so current events have certainly taken a toll on Lizzo’s emotional state. There is bright future for Lizzo, and we can’t wait to see her back in her element. She gives voice to many misrepresented groups and her confidence and perseverance are refreshing.

There are more fashionable celebrities we could have added to this list. Fashion Reverie wanted to bring to your attention those who not only give spectacular stage performances but also makes a stand for social justice. In this self-isolating time with summer music festivals and concerts canceled, these celebs are sorely missed. We anticipate their return.

Goop by Gwyneth Paltrow

Some of the Goop ideas are a bit extreme!! “Vagina” scented candles might be great for a certain kind of customer, but a bit much for some consumers. However, a potential collaboration with Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is on the horizon which is an indication that Goop’s marketing methods are working. Goop’s collection of curated products from luxury beauty and sweaters to crystal-infused beverage, and self motivation books began as a newsletter offering lifestyle advice to readers. Now Goop is an exclusive shopping experience with none other than Gwyneth Paltrow.

Victoria Beckham

From pop princess, to Mrs. Soccer—she’s married to soccer superstar David Beckham—to well-known fashion designer, Victoria Beckham is a hard-working perfectionist and it shows in the appeal of her eponymous fashion collection, Victoria Beckham. She launched her label in 2008 with a low-key presentation and then became a fixture on the New York Fashion Week calendar, eventually launching Victoria By Victoria Beckham. Fashion Reverie’s Met Gala Celebrity Flashback

The 2020 Costume Institute Gala or the Costume Institute Benefit, informally known as the Met Gala, was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. Many were disappointed as it is New York City’s and the fashion industry’s biggest red carpet.

But your disappointment aside because the Met Gala virtual party is on! Condé Nast’s Vogue magazine is hosting a virtual event in its place: “A Moment with the Met,” a livestream exclusively on YouTube.

The livestream will begin at 6 p.m. ET on May 4 on Vogue’s YouTube channel, and will include an address by Vogue editor-in-chief and Met Gala co-chair Anna Wintour, a performance by Florence + The Machine, and a DJ set by designer Virgil Abloh.

Until Monday’s virtual event, Fashion Reverie takes a look back at some favorite looks for past Met galas!!

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination” Costume Institute Gala in a Dolce & Gabbana ensemble. She wore a gold gown with red hearts accents and a long train. Add to that a whole nativity scene headpiece. Eh, no big deal!!

Rihanna longest gown by Guo Pei is an example of what the Met Gala red carpet is all about. This look will be in museum photo exhibitions and in many coffee tabletop books. So far, this one look could only be compared to a change of garments right on the red carpet. And who do you think did just that?

Lady Gaga made an entrance in a Brandon Maxwell voluminous gown. Camp Notes of Fashion sure gave us a lesson at how to command a red carpet and change four times.

Image courtesy of Larry Busacca/Getty Images

When Beyonce attended the “China: Through the Looking Glass” Gala in 2015 she wore a very racy sheer Givenchy gown. Heads turned and many fashionistas have tried to pull of similar looks since that eventful day.

Carrying his own severed head, Jared Leto got the memo from Gucci and accessorized his bedazzled Gucci gown with his head! Camp theme indeed, and his outfit was also Gucci ensemble.

Katy Perry arrived at the 2019 Met Gala red carpet with a full-on chandelier dress, and candlesticks around her head and waist. This was a custom-made Moschino gown. We doubt it was very comfy and easy to wear, but it made our special list!

Image courtesy of . Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images

Zendaya lit up, literally, the red carpet in a stunning Tommy Hilfiger dress. She shimmered in shades of silver and light blue, just like a Disney princess.

Frances McDormand looked like a heavenly plant at 2018 Costume Institute Gala. McDormand was fashion-forward in custom Valentino Couture dress with a robe, a massive collar, and a floral like headpiece that sort of grew over her face.

Just before Billy Porter spread his wings on the Met Gala 2019 pink carpet, Porter was carried in by six shirtless men as though he was an Egyptian pharaoh or Roman emperor in gold ensemble by The Blonds!! Porter’s entrance will never be forgotten.

Because she is the ultimate style icon that started avant-garde carpet looks Fashion Reverie had to conjure up Cher from the 1974 Met Gala, when the theme was “Romantic and Glamorous Hollywood Design.” She wore one of her epic ensembles, a fully sheer jumpsuit with sparkling accents and feathery trim by Bob Mackie.

Celebrity Fashion Sighting: Look Like Hailey Bieber in a Just Fab Ensemble

Fashion Reverie has had very few celebrity fashion sightings in the past six weeks due to COVID-19 self-isolating. We know you miss seeing some of your favorite celebs flaunt their great fashion style on red carpets, but difficult times call for drastic measures. Still, the hunger for celebrity style needs to be satiated.

Since there so little celebrity fashion sightings, Fashion Reverie may not be able to satisfy your hunger and thirst for celeb style. However, we can provide a nice morsel to tide over, if only for a moment.

Hailey Bieber, formerly Hailey Baldwin, has a celebrity pedigree. She’s the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, known for his starring roles in “The Usual Suspects” and “The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas.” Actors Alex Baldwin and Billy Baldwin are her uncles. (Billy Baldwin was a Calvin Klein model before his acting career took off.)

That said; Hailey has garnered a significant career as a fashion model. She has had major advertising campaigns for Guess, Ralph Lauren, Philipp Plein, Levi Jeans, Sass & Bide, and Tommy Hilfiger. At this current time, Hailey is the penultimate ‘All-American girl-next-door type.’

While most of us are waiting for things to get back to normal, Hailey Beiber is not letting any grass grow under her feet since her marriage to pop teen icon Justin Bieber. Hailey looks great out of the town in this in this exciting ensemble. You can get these looks from Just Fab at an affordable price.

Images courtesy of CLD Style

Look like Hailey in this Just Fab midi column denim dress with this Just Fab Lions’ Den crossbody bag. Balance this look off with a Just Fab Sydney Blade heeled boot and Just Fab’s Black Nano sunglasses.

This is a fabulous Just Fab ensemble that any fashionista would want!! And Hailey Bieber shows you just how to wear it!!

Italy has been hit hard and it is hard to predict the light at the end of the tunnel. That said; most wealthy and influential Italians are helping their country. Fashion legend Giorgio Armani donated around $2.2 million to hospitals in Milan, Rome, Bergamo, Piacenza and Versilia as well as to the Italian civil protection agency, which is coordinating the country’s response to the outbreak.

“What worries me most is the health emergency that’s taking place, both in our country and all over the world,” Armani told Forbes magazine on March 16. “It’s too early to evaluate the long-term economic impact, which will surely be significant. But history teaches us that new opportunities are born from the deepest moments of crisis.”

Christian Siriano

Siriano, a former “Project Runway” winner who has dressed the likes of Michelle Obama and Taylor Swift, realized that he was able to help when he heard the plea from New York Governor Cuomo that New York City was in short of supply of masks. They connected via Twitter.

Within an hour the plan was made. The governor’s office sent Siriano a stock pattern. The mask was not a medical-grade N-95, which requires special materials, such as non-woven polypropylene, to filter microscopic particles. It was a cloth surgical mask, with three pleats, elastic ear bands, and a small metal strip that could be molded to fit the nose. In the first week, they produced almost 2,000 masks. The first shipped box went directly to the new field hospital at the Javits Center. And masks keep coming!!

Michael Costello

Another Project Runway designer, Michael Costello is hard at work in his Los Angeles factory. Michael has converted his operations to produce medical and non-medical grade masks. His seamstress team is practicing social distancing while at work and their mission is to do as much as possible to answer Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti call for 5 million masks through the new Los Angeles Protects Initiative.

Rihanna and Jay Z

Rihanna and Jay Z have joined forces. The Shawn Carter Foundation and Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation will each be donating $1 million for COVID-19 response efforts. Their donation will support undocumented workers, the children of frontline health workers and first responders, the incarcerated, and elderly and homeless populations in New York City and Los Angeles.

The funds are also “offering daycare, learning materials, food and supplies for the children of frontline healthcare workers and first responders, providing learning materials for the over 20,000 children and youth learning in shelters and virtual mental health support for parents, and ensuring child-care centers are clean, ensuring smaller clusters of children ins shelters and that all shelter personnel are protected.

Ralph Lauren

The Ralph Lauren Foundation is donating 19 million towards corona relief efforts!! The American designer’s contribution is the largest single donation of any fashion brand so far.

Lauren presented a plan to split the money between four major organizations. The first organization is the Emergency Assistance Foundation, an American nonprofit that creates employee relief funds, and which will provide grants to help employees of Lauren’s corporation to assist with medical care or the care of family members. Sums will also go to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, and Ralph Lauren’s Pink Pony Fun for cancer research. One million dollars of the donation will go to Common Thread, an initiative launched earlier this week by the CFDA and Vogue to support designers and those behind-the-scenes who have been impacted by the virus. His company is also exploring the production of medical-grade masks, gowns, and other personal protective equipment.

Crocs

Crocs are made from a rubber-like material; they are waterproof and can be easily washed off, which is an advantage as people take special care to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Lots of healthcare workers wear Crocs, so the company is delivering some shipments straight to hospitals and other facilities, but also allowing workers to sign up for the free shoes by going to www.crocs.com/freeforhealthcare.
