diane-von-furstenberg-vem-ao-Brasil-2__LindizzimaReally, another fashion reality TV show? OK, we lived through “Under the Gunn,” we tolerated “The Fashion Fund,” and Betsey Johnson’s XOX Betsey Johnson had its moments, but is not returning.

Well, Diane von Furstenberg has now jumped into the fashion reality TV fray. The question being asked is will viewers want Diane in their homes every week? Fashion Reverie guesses a rip roaring YES!!

The DVF Project will air on the E! Network and will feature burgeoning fashion industry professionals competing for a brand ambassador role at the global DVF brand. “I am so thrilled to partner with E!, and to grant young women the opportunity to become the women they want to be!” said von Furstenberg in a statement.

“There is a magical, somewhat ‘Willy Wonka’ aspect to the world Diane wants to create with this show. That is if Willy Wonka were a fabulous, glamorous fashion icon willing to share her secrets with talented young women dedicated to learning them,” said Jeff Olde, E!’s executive vice president of programming and development. The DVF Project is slated to air in the fall of 2014.

DvF and Willy Wonka? Hmm, stay tuned!!

Calvin, Christy and Ed?

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Twenty-six years ago, supermodel Christy Turlington was the face of the Calvin Klein fragrance, Eternity.  This time around Christy is again the face of Calvin Klein’s latest fragrance, Eternity Night, but she will have an interesting bedfellow.

Turlington will front the Eternity Night ad campaign with her actor/filmmaker husband Ed Burns. “Christy and Ed are the ideal couple to represent our timeless Eternity Calvin Klein fragrance, as we continue to support the brand with a new global advertising campaign and an expanded offering with Eternity Night Calvin Klein,” said Tom Murry, chief executive officer of Calvin Klein Inc.

An end to the search

Brooklyn fashion designer Jay Ott’s body was found Thursday morning floating in New York Harbor near Pier 4 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Ott had been missing for two months, last seen at his Bushwick home on March 24.

The 31-year old designer had previously worked for J. Mendel and the Row, a fashion brand established by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The police do not suspect foul play.
