Fashion Reverie’s Spring 2020 Ladies’ Fragrance Guide

“Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.” Or goes the famous quip from the Miranda Priestly character in “The Devil Wears Prada.”

With all due respect to Miranda, with the Met Gala for this year having been postponed indefinitely, florals for spring sounds like heaven. Trapped in our homes for least another two months—fingers crossed, we can all leave the house soon — we are all looking for ways to calm ourselves and find hope.  Scent in the sense is most strongly tied to mood. Why not self-comfort by indulging in these new fragrances for spring?

Rose Prick by Tom Ford

Not one to shy away from the spotlight, Tom Ford is debuting his new perfume this spring and of course he had to give it an outrageously provocative title! With a retail of $335, this is definitely the most extravagant scent on this list. A wild bouquet of rose de mai, Turkish rose and Bulgarian rose with sharp and pristine notes. A rose by any other name wouldn’t be Tom Ford.

Eau Capitale’s composition includes notes of bergamot, pink peppercorns, rose, ylang ylang, cinnamon, and patchouli. It was developed for Diptyque by perfumer Olivier Pescheux.
