The new face of Tommy Hilfiger menswear

Everyone agrees that British Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton is a looker, and now Tommy Hilfiger joins the consensus by tapping Hamilton will be the face of all of the brand’s menswear labels. This also includes swimwear and underwear.

Hilfiger is looking to have more global appeal and the plan has been to bring in a brand ambassador that gives the more of a global presence. While supermodel Gigi Hadid’s affiliation with the brand has been very effective in establishing Tommy Hilfiger as the current go-to brand for American female millenials, Gigi’s brand ambassadorship keeps the brand solidly in the American market. (Gigi’s contract with Tommy Hilfiger this year.)

With Lewis Hamilton as the new face of the menswear labels, Tommy Hilfiger is “[aiming] at driving the growth of Hilfiger men’s worldwide and bringing the next generation of fans to the brand.” That said; Lewis Hamilton has over 17 million followers on social media and has a net worth valued at over $130 million pounds.

Mikael Janssen photographed Tommy Hilfiger’s spring 2018 menswear integrated campaign with Lewis Hamilton at Pennsylvania’s Pocono Raceway. This spring 2018 campaign features exclusive video teasers, print, online, and out of home media placements, and will be supported by consumer activations “that continue to bring the brand’s unique perspective on pop culture to life around the world.”

Justin and Stella

Justin Timberlake has kicked off his 42-city ‘Man of the Woods’ tour and many of the garments that Timberlake, his dancers and band members will don on stage come from Stella McCartney fall 2018 collection. This is the second time the pop singer has chosen McCartney as his designer of choice, the first time being his stage performance at the 2018 Super Bowl half time performance.

Stella McCartney’s collaboration with Justin Timberlake on his 2018 tour is a boon for the British designer in that McCartney’s menswear line is only two years old and

McCartney showed her 2018 menswear collection in Paris for the first time during Paris Fashion Week. “Justin has such innate style, and he embodies our menswear collection in many ways. Collaborating with him on his world tour wardrobe is an incredible opportunity … I’m so thrilled and proud that he chose Stella McCartney Menswear,” explained McCartney in a fashionnetwork.com article.

Timberlake’s stage costumes will include camo splatter Prince of Wales check bomber jackets, combat trousers, chevron tracksuits and tailored flannel styles, as well as bespoke designs. Timberlake’s ‘Man of the Woods’ tour will continue for the next 10 months.
