Meghan Markle Says Yes to the Dress

As reported on “ABC News,” Prince Harry’s fiancée Meghan Markle had her first bridal gown fitting at Kensington Palace. Though Markle’s choice of bridal designer has not been revealed, royal reporter and biographer Omid Schobie explained that bridal stylist Jessica Mulroney is helping Meghan Markle create a custom-made look for the wedding.

“Meghan flew her close friend and bridal stylist Jessica Mulroney from Toronto to London last weekend where she attended a top-secret fitting at Kensington Palace with the designer. They’ve tried on a number of different designs and are currently whittling it down to pick the best designs for the day,” adds Schobie.

Schobie detailed that Markle has “expressed the desire to wear something simple and classy and very elegant.” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding day is scheduled for May 2018.

Mario Testino named

Add Mario Testino’s name to the list of fashion photographers who have allegedly been involved in sexual misconduct. First Terry Richardson was named—no surprise to anyone in the industry. In December 2017, Bruce Weber was called out for sexual misconduct by two former male models—also not a complete shock. Now, the New York Times alleges that Mario Testino participated in sexual misconduct with 13 models and male assistants. Testino is accused of making sexual advances, open masturbation, and groping.

“We are deeply disturbed by these accusations and take this very seriously—as previously noted in our statement regarding sexual harassment,” Conde Nast said in a statement. “In light of these allegations, we will not be commissioning any new work with [Testino and Weber] for the foreseeable future.”

According to the New York Times, a law firm representing Testino “challenged the characters and credibility of people who complained of harassment.” And that former Testino employees were shocked by the allegations” and “could not confirm any of the claims.”

Michael Kors is following Conde Nast’s lead and ending the brand’s relationship with Testino even though the brand has had a long, production relationship with Mario Testino. “In light of the seriousness of these accusations, we will not be working with Mr. Testino on future advertising campaigns,” said representatives for Michael Kors.
