Bruce barks back

Bruce Weber has finally responded to sexual misconduct allegations. In early December 2017 Weber was accused of sexual harrasment by former male models Jason Boyce and Mark Ricketson in a press conference held by the attorney for the accusers, Lisa Bloom. Boyce is filing a lawsuit against Weber. Ricketson cannot file a lawsuit because of the statute of limitations in California.

Bruce Weber wrote on Instagram, “I want to address the recent allegations made against me. I unequivocally deny these charges and will vigorously deny these charges and I will vigorously defend myself. I have spent my career capturing the human spirit through photographs and am confident that, in due time, the truth will prevail. I am grateful for the outpouring of support I have received.”

In recent weeks Weber has received support from industry bigwigs Grace Coddington, Tim Blanks, Carine Roitfeld, Trey Laird, and a slew of male and female models.

It’s all about the guys

It’s hard to believe that in a stagnant retail market that the menswear market is expanding. Well, Nordstrom seems to think so!!

The mega retail store is prepping for its first standalone menswear store set to open in New York City in April 2018. Nordstrom has also scheduled to open a flagship store in the base of the Central Park Tower in 2019.

While other mega retail stores saw a significant decrease in sales in 2016 and 2017, Nordstrom actually stayed steady with some modest gains. Cailin Caro, Nordstrom’s NYC men’s store manager, announced that the men’s store would be “focused on service and providing customers with an elevated experience that reflects the best of what we have to offer.”

For the NYC men’s standalone store Nordstrom is recruiting for sales associates in apparel, designer, furnishings, shoes, and grooming departments. Nordstrom’s men’s standalone store will be located on Broadway between 57th and 58th Streets.
