Images courtesy of starstyle.com and D’Orazio and Associates

Katy Perry had a very interesting look recently at an appearance on “American Idol.” Although there are those who might think this look is a little too retro and dowdy for Katy, Fashion Reverie loves the vintage coif and overall look of Katy Perry in Elie Saab spring 2017 and Le Vian aquamarine and diamond rings. Yes, 1960s Hollywood mogul wife’s–look works for you Katy!!

Jennifer Lopez always turns it up on the red carpet, even if the look she is donning is not her best choice. Though some fashion pundits didn’t care for the Roberto Cavalli fall 2018 burgundy leather and suede ensemble, Fashion Reverie thinks J-Lo pulled the look off, beautifully accessorized in AS29 diamond earrings.

Ariana Grande took over the stage at the 2018 Billboard Awards. The 24-year old pop singer showed that she was all grown up with a very mature performance, and by wearing a Djula diamond choker [$169,000] and Harry Kotlar diamond studs [$80,000], totaling close to $250,000. Ariana juxtaposed this expensive jewelry against a black baby doll dress and black thigh-high boots.

Images courtesy of celebmafia.com and D’Orazio and Associates

Taylor Swift may have been a winner at the 2018 Billboard Awards; however, her red carpet look was questionable. The over-embellished lavender, sequined Versace Atelier gown had too many ideas going on. Still, Taylor was appropriately accessorized in Hueb morganite earrings.

Images courtesy of redcarpet-awards.com and D’Orazio and Associates

Vintage looks may be experiencing a comeback. Demi Lovato took a glance back by wearing a 2009 Christian Dior resort leopard-inspired dress with a L’Dezen by Payal Shah diamond ring. Now, who wore it best Demi or the model?

“The Gifted’s” Skyler Samuels wore a MSGM long sleeve cocktail dress with crochet neckline to the FOX Upfront party. This innocent-looking, prim and proper, diaphanous cocktail dress matches the nascent quality of the three characters she plays on “The Gifted.”

“This Is Us” Chrissy Metz demonstrated on the 2018 Billboard Awards red carpet that a larger frame could look good in a one-shoulder dress. Chrissy Metz donned a custom black Jean Paul Ataker dress, L’Ashar clutch, L’Dezen earrings, and Ann Taylor shoes for the occasion.

Fashion Reverie’s Royal Wedding’s Best Dressed Guests

Image courtesy of krmg.com/(Toby Melville/pool photo via AP)

The event of the year was certainly The Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle, now Duchess of Sussex and Prince Henry, Duke of Sussex, this past weekend at Windsor Castle. In order to land an invitation, you certainly had to be a Royal or an A-list celebrity. With that you had to pick proper attire, which made it even a bigger task if you had to match your significant other.

Women had to wear formal day dress. For men, ‘morning dress’ was required, which is the daytime formal dress code for royal weddings. Male member of the royal family can opt to wear their military uniforms, being that they are all commanders of various branches of the British military. (You will observe that both Prince William and Prince Harry wore their military uniforms with all of the regalia.)

However, other male guests wore the more the traditional ‘morning dress.’ Because the royal wedding took place early in the day, it was too early for tuxedos. That said; men’s ‘morning dress’ consists of cutaway tailcoat/morning coat that is either black or charcoal grey with a single button closure and peak label. Striped trousers are usually grey with black stripes. The waistcoat (vest) is usually grey or light yellow, other pastels are permissible, single-breasted or double-breasted, usually with lapels. The 4-in-hand tie can be light grey with subtle pattern, light colors are permissible. Optional accessories can include a top hat, white pocket square, gloves and cane.

True to royal tradition, female wedding guests should wear colorful hats or headpieces; fashion at its best!

Here are Fashion Reverie’s top ten best-dressed celebrities attending the royal wedding:

This was a big week when it came to season 2 premiere parties. “The Handmaid’s Tales’” Samira Wiley wore a Galvan black dress paired with Neil J. Rogers black sandals and AS29 diamond drop earrings and Djula diamond ring to the season 2 premiere red carpet of “The Handmaid’s Tales” in Hollywood.

Speaking of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” another cast mate stunned on the red carpet, Madeline Brewer. Madeline was all sunshine and lollipops in a Carolina Herrera floral frock, beautifully accessorized in Hueb diamond earrings and Abdullah Chancellor fiery opal ring. What a great contrast from Brewer’s drab attire on the show.
